macOS Sequoia: Update 1.8.5 issue

My dear Myth fans,

I am using macOS Sequoia 15.7.1 and try to install the 1.8.5 update, so far unsuccessful. Updates in the past went well in the same folder, so I am baffled. Any ideas?

I'm running the game fine on even macOS Tahoe. I didn't use the installer tho, I just replaced the files which I downloaded here :/
Thank you all for keeping one of the greatest Mac games ever created, alive.
