Myth II - Miniatures (28mm)

Hi everyone,

I have great memories of the game Myth II and all its universe (unfortunately, I can’t install Myth on my mac). I have always wanted to paint figurines inspired by the game and I passed the milestone recently with Bersekers, Warriors, a Dwarf, Thralls and the famous Soulblighter figure.

I was inspired by what I saw on the internet for the Thralls when choosing the brand Oathmark. For the Bersekers, it’s Pathfinder battle deep cuts. The Warriors is Wargames Atlantic. For the dwarf, I don’t know the brand... I had seen it on eBay. My next goal will probably be five or six Heron Guards.

I would like to play these figurines as part of wargames. I made some profiles inspired by the Lord of the Rings, the, battle game, from GW. We’re playing a game with two friends. I think the game dynamics remain to be refined, but it was nice.

Hoping that these photos please you (I realize that I have few photos of the Thralls, just a few scenes during the game..)!

The latest version of Myth runs on macs all the way back to OS9, and all the way up to contemporary.

Thank you for your feedback! In the end, I bought some miniatures to make Soulless, some additional Bersekers, Garrick and some Stygian Knights. I will think to share some others photos :)

Hey, Malchus! Wow. Sounds like you live in the same place an old pal hangs out, making a nice living in the big movie/TV world. With wild fancy computers and huge cameras, no less Haha!

Myth runs on the Mac, I assure you. So does Marathon. Myth Mac stuff is here, Marathon stuff is Aleph One. Go.

In conclusion, love your fotos. Très cool. The painting work is very nice. Love the little choreography things. Merci pour la post, mon frère.

Have fun near the ocean. 8)

Haha thanks for your reply Sword Ring ! Your friend has chosen his place of life well :D

Unfortunately, my mac doesn’t recognize the origin of the download.. But well, I was able to take up a bit of the work lately. On the menu, Crüniac (rather than Garrick in the end), two archers and Soulless (I have six more to paint).

So good! How long did it take from start to finish for these?

Thanks Jon ! Oh, maybe two hours per figurine (but I paint them simultaneously). I’m quite slow but I paint a little before or after work. The Soulless are more easy to paint because it's just brushing. I make also some modifications on the figurines to better fit them with the universe of Myth II, such as javelins, bows, hands, hair, etc.
